Ahlam Sends an Emotional Message to Assala Following Her Damascus Concert

Al-Taj News – Emirati singer Ahlam celebrated the return of her friend, Syrian singer Assala Nasri, to performing in Syria after an absence of nearly 15 years, and sent her an emotional message through her account on the “X” platform.

Ahlam posted a photo of herself with Assala and wrote: “Assala is back in Damascus.. What a joy for Damascus to have you back, and what a joy for our hearts to see you return.. After all these years, your voice has returned to its place, among your family and people. A thousand congratulations, my dear.”

The congratulations were not limited to Ahlam, as a number of music stars celebrated Assala’s return to Damascus, including Nancy Ajram and Latifa, along with a number of Syrian artists who sent her messages of support during the concert.

Assala held a concert on Thursday evening at Al-Fayhaa Hall in Damascus, returning to perform in Syria after an absence of nearly 15 years. She appeared visibly moved by the audience’s reception and applause before opening the concert with the song “Raise Your Head High.. You Are a Free Syrian.”

During the concert, Assala performed a selection of her most famous songs, along with works from her new Syrian album, which includes songs inspired by the musical heritage of various Syrian governorates.
